Search statistics
You can view the Frosmo Search statistics for a site in the Frosmo Control Panel.
Use the statistics to:
-
Learn what are the most popular search terms that visitors use on the site. You can define synonyms for these terms to direct visitors to similar or related items that visitors might otherwise miss.
-
Find out what are the most common search terms that visitors use that return no results. This allows you to detect gaps between how items are named or described on the site and how visitors expect them to be named or described. You can define synonyms for the no-result terms to return the actual results that visitors are expecting.
To view search statistics:
-
In the Frosmo Control Panel, in the sidebar, select More > Search.
-
In the Statistics tab, select which statistics to view:
-
Top search terms list the most popular search terms on the site. By default, the search terms are organized in descending order by total count, with the most popular term at the top.
-
Top search terms with no results list the most popular search terms that did not match any items on the site. By default, the search terms are organized in descending order by total count, with the most popular term at the top. You can easily define synonyms for the terms.
-
-
Optionally, in Day range, select the time range in days for which to display the statistics. The time range is counted from the previous day backwards. The default is 30 days.
-
Study the statistics:
-
Search term: Single word or phrase used by visitors to search for items. The search term is always the full search term used in a search. For example, if a visitor searches for "furry cheetah plushy", the search term is "furry cheetah plushy", never just a part of it, such as "furry" or "cheetah". In addition, the search engine treats search terms as case-insensitive and always normalizes them to lower case. For example, "Saw", "SAW", and "saw" are the same search term and show up as "saw" in the statistics.
-
Total count: Total number of times visitors have used the search term to search for items. The percentage to the right of the count value shows the change from the previous time range.
-
Percentage of all searches: Ratio of all searches on the site that the search term accounts for.
