The lifespan of a modification can be short, and modifications shown in the same placement often use similar settings. To avoid constantly creating new modifications, the Frosmo Control Panel provides a number of ways for you to manage them.

To manage modifications in the Control Panel, select Modifications > Overview. The Control Panel shows a list of modifications created for the site. You have several options for finding the modification you want to manage.

You can perform the following tasks on a modification:

Finding a modification

In the modifications list, you have the following options to find the modification you want to manage:

  • Start typing the modification ID or name in the search field.
  • Filter the modifications based on type, placement, target segment, target group, label, or mode.
  • Select to show only modifications of a specific status.
  • Sort modifications by ID, name, or placement.

Editing a modification

You have the following options for editing a modification from the modifications list:

  • Open the modification settings.
  • Use the quick menu for the modification to directly access the modification content and display time settings.

Opening and editing the modification settings

To open and edit the modification settings:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to edit.
  2. Click the modification name to open the modification settings.
  3. Edit the modification settings. For more information, see Creating modifications.
  4. When you're done, save the modification.

Using the quick menu to access specific modification settings

To edit the modification content through the quick menu:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to edit.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Edit content.

To edit the modification display time settings through the quick menu:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to edit.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Edit display times.

  3. Edit the display time settings:

    • To define the start date and time for showing the modification, click Set start time, click the field to set the start date and time, and click Done.
    • To define the end date and time for showing the modification, click Set end time, click the field to set the end date and time, and click Done. To show the modification indefinitely, click No end date.
    • To define the days of the week on which the modification is shown, click Set display days, and select or deselect the days you want. If you select none or all, the modification is shown on every day of the week.
    • To define the time of day during which the modification is shown, click Set display hours, and enter the time as a single hour range using the 24-hour clock format, "HH:MM-HH:MM". If you leave this field empty, the modification is shown around the clock.
    • To reset a time setting to its default value, click the corresponding Unset option.

  4. When you're done, click Save.

Activating and deactivating a modification

To activate a modification:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to activate.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Activate.

  3. Click Activate. The modification is activated.

To deactivate a modification:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to deactivate.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Deactivate.

Renaming a modification

To rename a modification:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to rename.
  2. Click the modification name to open the modification settings.
  3. At the top of the page, click Rename.
  4. Edit the modification name.
  5. Click Save. The modification is renamed.

Duplicating a modification

To duplicate a modification:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to duplicate.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Duplicate.

  3. Click Duplicate. The modification is duplicated with the prefix "Copy of" in its name. You can rename the modification to better identify it.

Removing a modification

To remove a modification:

  1. In the modifications list, find the modification you want to remove.
  2. Click the quick menu button for the modification, and select Remove.

  3. Click Remove. The modification is removed.

Selecting and managing multiple modifications

The Control Panel allows you to perform the following actions on multiple modifications simultaneously:

  • Activate or deactivate
  • Duplicate
  • Edit display time settings
  • Remove
  • View and export statistics

To manage multiple modifications simultaneously:

  1. In the modifications list, click Select.
  2. Select the modifications you want to manage. A menu bar appears at the top of the page.

  3. In the menu bar:
    • To remove the selected modifications, click Remove, and click Remove again.
    • To duplicate the selected modifications, click Duplicate, and click Duplicate again.
    • To edit the selected modifications, click Edit, and select an option. You can activate or deactivate the modifications, or edit their display time settings.
    • To manage the labels associated with the modifications, click Labels, and select an option:
      • To create a new label and add it to the selected modifications, select Create new, enter the label text, click Save, and click Add.
      • To edit an existing label, select Edit labels. Click the name of the label you want to edit, edit the label text, and click Save.
      • To add an existing label to the selected modifications, select the label, click Add, and click Add again.
      • To remove a label from the selected modifications, select the label, click Remove, and click Remove again.
    • To view the statistics for the selected modifications, click Analyze, and select a time period. A table with the statistics opens.
    • To export the statistics for the selected modifications, click Export, define the time period from which you want the statistics, and click Export. A report file is generated and downloaded to your computer. The file is in the Office Open XML Workbook (XLSX) format.
